Dr. Weed joined North Park Ophthalmology in 2021. He grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania and has lived in the Pittsburgh area since 2013. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University, completing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in neuroscience with a minor in music. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
He is well-versed in diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other medical disorders of the eye. His surgical repertoire includes cataract surgery and laser procedures for glaucoma and lens capsule opacification.
Dr. Weed is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society (serving on the board during his residency). Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, hiking, and playing piano.
