Julie W. Mileham, OD

Dr. Julie Mileham graduated from Duquesne University with honors, earning a B.S. in Biochemistry and Chemistry with a Minor in Mathematics.  She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) at Salus University. During her time at PCO, she completed extensive rotations in primary eye care, contact lens specialty, and Low vision at the Feinbloom Low Vision Center.  She joined North Park ophthalmology in November 2018.  

Prior to Optometry school, Dr. Mileham spent some time as a research assistant working on the cornea and the intricate pathway to corneal scarring after an injury.  She saw how her fellow optometrists enjoyed their career and decided that it would be a great path for her.  Today, her favorite part about being an optometrist is interacting with people of different backgrounds and culture in the community, giving the best eye care possible, and educating her patients about their eyes and the importance of eyesight.

When not in the office, Dr. Mileham enjoys going to the movies, cooking (and trying new restaurants/food), traveling and spending time with friends and family, her husband and their dog.
